C-isms

Mom (in the AM, before breakfast): "Sweater? It is cold?" C: "No. I want a blanket." C wraps around herself, shuffles around and says: "You have done well young Padawan, you have done well." 9/8/12
C: "A great teacher would remove the word 'impossible' from the classroom dictionaries." [Why?] "Because nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it."
Mom, lost in a park near their house, "I can't find a trail." C: "Lets blaze one!"
C: "Steph-anne Hawkins is not as smart as Einstein because Albert Einstein could do quantum physics and quantum mechanics in his head, while Steph-anne Hawkins, with all due respect, can only do physics. No offense to Steph-anne Hawkins, partially because he is the smartest man alive." Mom (in all seriousness, and remember that she is a regular reader of Scientific American): "What is quantum mechanics?" C: "It is how particles move." 9/26/11

Leigh Anne is required to post verbage

According to Roy, I don't write enough on this blog. So I submit the following:

The Masala Bloody Mary

Vodka - 1.5 oz
Tomato puree/juice - 3 oz
Lemon juice - 1/2 oz
Tamarind - A very small ball (this is an Indian seed fruit, you can replace with brown sugar and some very well crushed cashew nut mixed into a small ball)
Sugar - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 1/4 tsp
Freshly ground pepper - As reqd
Ice cubes - 4 - 5 nos
Salt crystal - 1 no
(crushed)
Cucumber(cut into long sticks)

1)Extract 1 tsp of pulp from tamarind and mix the sugar in it.

2)Keep it in a steel bowl/ cup for 15 mins.

3)Mix together tomato juice/ puree, chili powder, pepper and salt with the lemon juice. Keep aside.

4)Fill a tall glass with ice.

5)Pour the vodka first into a tall glass.

6)Add the tamarind juice and finally the tomato mix. Stir gently.

7)Insert the cucumber stick into the glass and serve.

I recommend quadrupling this for a dinner party.
